Do I need Shopify Plus to use Avid Shipping Rules?
No. Avid Shipping Rules works on Basic, Shopify, and Advanced plans — no Shopify Plus required. It renames checkout shipping options using a Shopify delivery-customization function that's available on every plan.
Will it change the carrier name, like “UPS”?
No. The carrier name is set by Shopify and can't be changed. The app customizes the service label that follows it — for example, turning “Standard” into “Standard — Order by 1pm to ship today.”
Do I need to edit code or my theme?
No. You set up rules from a single screen in your Shopify admin: pick a shipping option by name, choose append or replace, and save. There's no code or theme editing.
How quickly do changes show up at checkout?
Your rules apply at checkout within a moment of saving. The rename runs through a Shopify Function inside Shopify's own checkout, so there's nothing to publish or deploy.
What's the difference between the Free and Pro plans?
Free includes one rule targeting a specific shipping option by name. Pro ($5/month) adds unlimited rules and lets you apply a rule to all shipping options at once.
What store data does the app access?
Only your store's delivery-customization settings and your store domain. Avid Shipping Rules does not access your customers' personal information, order contents, or payment data.
